Groupy provides a simple interface to create and manage groups of your contacts from your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.
It allows you to create, delete, rename groups as well as to add and remove contacts from your groups.
Groups created in Groupy will be recognized by the Contacts App and will be synchronized back to your Mac.
ALSO NOTE: Certain sources (eg. Exchange) do not allow group memberships to be modified, so contacts synced from these sources will not be able to be modified by Groupy. If you sync Gmail contacts through Exchange, consider switching to CardDAV.

I just wanted a simple way if grouping my contacts and this delivers perfectly. Simple, easy to use, and its free. The only thing is when adding a contact to a group, If it doesnt have a first or last name, it comes up as null. Hopefully the next release will show other fields like company name? Still is great though.
I wanted a simple free application to create groups for my contacts and since I do not have a Mac, i couldnt do it. This application is perfect. Same problems with the null but it will probably be fixed soon. Great work.
Latest upgrade solved the crashing problem. Back to being an ideal, simple app that makes the iPad Contacts app much more useful.

Most people dont understand this app. But it is great because:
•It lets you edit the name if your groups. I havent seen another do this.
•When adding to you group, YOU CAN SEE which ones are already added (via checkmarks) so you dont re-add by accident.
•This app is FOR EDITING, NOT FOR VIEWING. Understand that. You need to use the native app for viewing (or whichever other app you prefer).
It does what it claims. Its not a group mailer, its not a standard contacts app. Its a GROUP EDITOR.
This is the easiest app to group contacts. Anyone with half a brain can use it. Its a great suppliment to the contacts app that came with my Itouch.

Its free but needs work. Shows "(null) (null)" when only the company name is filled in whereas Contacts shows the company name. Makes it difficult to organize unless you use first name field for company name. Shouldnt show null at all. Also, Edit button should change to Done when editing groups. Style guide, anyone?
I tried to figure this program out and it made no sense to me. Then I re-read someone elses review and I finally got it. This App allows you to group your other (already installed) Iphone contacts. So its a little weird at first. You group them with this program and see the results with your regular contact list. After you get the swing of it, its not bad. My only problem is that you cant add companys to a group. The app is only showing peoples names unless as mentioned by others its one of those "null" entries at the bottom of the list. If you want to have a quick place to look for "Family", "Friends", etc... This will do the trick for you. The app shows lots of promise and Im looking forward to those "nulls" becoming business names soon :)
If it would just get one update that allowed you to send the group a text message by one or two clicks and email also. I need the text more than the email do this and I will rate higher. It will be perfect!!
